There's nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein. ~Walter Smith

Sex In The Courtyard:
Story Of My Senior Year

For some people, growing up is hard. They're forced to endure situations from living in the wrong neighborhood, to living with people who don't care for them.

Fortunately for me I wasn't one of those kids.  I lived a sheltered life.  Albeit, a life that included multiple houses and four different high schools, but still convinently

sheltered from the perils of reality.  My father was a Marine for twenty-six years, I've hardly known any other life.  So naturally, he demanded a strictly run household

and forced my five siblings and me to run P.T. (physical training) at five o'clock in the morning. Right?  Isn't that how it works in all the stories?  Not this story.

Because this story is about real life, and that just doesn't happen in real life.  My dad was always like any other dad.  Or at least thats how I felt during my childhood,

surely everyones dad played the dictionary game and taught them to dip french fries in their Wendy's frosites. (see what I mean, sheltered).  I felt the same way about my

mother.  She made every new house into a home and continuously opened our minds to different worlds through reading and learning about other cultures.

I couldn't have asked for better parents.

What I didn't realize then was how lucky I was to have them.

AN:

Due to my schedule I am only able to update in short segments.  Please let me know if the story becomes to choppy.
